Applications to retrofitting programmes for better health
Many policies that could work well fail in practice because the steps needed to put them in place are unclear, partnerships are not built early enough, or they are not properly implemented or evaluated. Working with whole systems and coproducing solutions with stakeholders is essential for achieving net zero.
This research theme works closely with stakeholders to bring together learning from across the Hub and put it into practice. Through provision of training in the system maps and decision-support tools created within the Hub, and through conducting case studies to create wider impact, this research theme provides evidence on how to design and deliver policies so that they achieve their net zero goals, maximise health benefits, reduce unintended negative consequences, and make any necessary compromises clear.
