Involving people who will be affected by net-zero housing changes and working with them throughout our research journey is central to INHABITs work. This will ensure that solutions are practical and fair and grounded in real experience. To achieve this we have set up an INHABIT Public Involvement group to guide our research, making it meaningful and relevant to everyday lives.

We are also working with stakeholders to ensure our research is relevant, useful and timely. We are doing this by:

  • Sharing understanding – providing information and resources for local authorities
  • Raising awareness– creating easy to understand materials for people taking part in our research
  • Hosting events – involving communities and supporting engagement activities where people can learn about our research and findings
  • Communications – sharing information about retrofitting and health, through our website, broadcast and social media
