CCT2: Co-design and co-production
Co-design with stakeholders is a core INHABIT objective. Following our February workshop all participants committed to becoming INHABIT project partners, co-leading various work-strands and/or supporting co-production efforts.
We will continue to actively engage with our stakeholders, addressing diverse needs to co-deliver interventions. Through biannual meetings and ongoing communication across workstreams, our stakeholders will contribute to systems mapping (WS1), field observations (WS2), model development (WS3), intervention evaluation (WS4), and real-world applications (WS5), and help co-produce relevant reports.
We will establish PPIE groups with support from local authorities and community organisations, and involve them throughout the research process to ensure we consider public perspectives and focus on public interests. PPIE activities will be tailored to each workstream, including activities such as integrating public insights into systems maps (WS1), monitoring strategies (WS2), metrics development (WS3), behaviour change initiatives (WS4), and net zero exemplars (WS5).
We will undertake wider engagement activities which will be promoted through our network, alongside our websites and social media channels:
- Knowledge exchange: We will deliver Knowledge exchange programmes and resources aimed at local authorities and the public;
- Public Awareness: guided by our PPIE groups, we will produce materials including digital content, pamphlets, for events to raise awareness about net zero and health.
- Regional Engagement: Five accessible events will allow residents/tenants to engage with and contribute to the systems maps and research findings.
- Wider Dissemination: We will amplify key messages through the most accessible media channels.
