University of Birmingham team visit Oxford Brookes University

The fieldwork team from University of Birmingham visited Oxford Brookes University (OBU) on 23rd July 2025 to discuss plans for the Oxfordshire-wide fieldwork campaign with OBU academic colleagues, Oxfordshire Council representatives and the INHABIT Public Member for Oxfordshire. The fieldwork will see ~80 indoor air quality (IAQ) sensors being deployed in homes receiving retrofit measures in 2026 onwards in order to explore the impact of the retrofit measures on IAQ. Health surveys will also be used to explore the impact on health.

This work falls under workstrand 2 of INHABIT. Phase one of the fieldwork will target retrofitting measures across the West Midlands Combined Authority areas, as part of the Local Net Zero Accelerator (LNZA) programme – IAQ sensors are already being deployed in Solihull.
